Hail to the ancestors!
Hail ancient kith and kin
of all peoples on this earth!
Watch over all refugees and asylum seekers.
Embrace them with all their pain and despair,
their fear and loss, their hunger and loneliness.
Millions of people suffer
from war or conflict,
domination by foreign invaders,
persecution, oppression,
violence, climate change.
Millions of people are forced to flee
their homes and hearths
and everything they hold dear.
May they find safe passage
and helping hands.
Frith keepers and peace weavers
of all peoples of this world:
help us to remember our humanity.
Give us courage to welcome strangers.
Give us compassion to welcome
refugees and asylum seekers.
Open our eyes that we may see the needs of others.
Open our ears that we may hear their cries.
Open our hearts that we may feel their pain.
Bless those who work to bring them comfort and care.
Inspire generosity and kindness in all our hearts.
Help us to convince politicians
to offer assistance to everyone in need:
bread, bath and bed are simple human needs.
Guide the nations of the world
to dialogue and diplomacy
and balance for the benefit
of the earth and all living beings.
May our heartfelt plea for peace,
freedom and safety be heard.
